Skylark On The Hudson, one of New Jersey’s premier restaurants is seeking an experienced, energetic and confident Server. The Server must ensure their work is of the highest quality and standards are met in order to achieve outstanding customer satisfaction, high quality service, compliance with corporate/franchise policies and procedures and federal, state and local regulations while meeting/exceeding financial goals.
Job Requirements: Reports directly to the Dining Room Manager. Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis. Command of the English language both written and verbal. Know and maintain safety and sanitation standards to provide team members with a safe environment. Perform any other job related duties as assigned. Knowledge and carrying of all host and server training material. Responsible for maintaining the service standards of the restaurant. Proactively use down-time. Knowledge of all Skylark and AHG promotions. Proper etiquette, always smiling, and welcoming guests on the floor. Maintain that guests are always greeted as soon as they walk in, and always thanked as they are leaving. Promote teamwork amongst employees. Partake in training drills and classes on skills, timing, selling and etiquette. Perform tasks with efficiency. Responsible for upholding national serve safe guidelines. Maintain peak operational efficiency and performance. Intelligent Decision knowledge and promotion. Follow all policies and procedures outlined by employee handbook and other documents.
Experience, Skills and Knowledge: Ability to work effectively under pressure. May require long hours standing. Ability to multitask in a high volume environment, communicate, and read and write in English fluently and in a professional manner. Applicant must demonstrate the ability to work efficiently and within a team environment.
Candidates must be at least 18 years of age. Business Skills: Must have a professional demeanor and a positive attitude.
