This position is responsible for the supervision of preparation and delivery of appetizing nutritious meals and/or snacks in accordance with patient request, federal and state regulations, and physician’s orders. Other responsibilities include: coordinate staff schedules, supervises trayline and hostess staff, ensuring proper coverage of production areas and sanitation functions; resolves patient concerns and order and maintain proper food inventory levels.
High School diploma/GED required; some college course work in diet/nutrition or related field or equivalent combination of training and/or experience preferred. Minimum 1 year customer or food service experience or related field or equivalent combination of training and/or experience required. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Basic computer skills required. Experience in a healthcare setting preferred. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build cooperative working relationships with all staff members, patient families, and visitors required. Must have the ability to represent the organization in a professional manner at all times. Proven ability to be proactive and deal with emergent issues, multiple projects, and tasks simultaneously required.
