Job Description: Location: Moore Haven, FL
Canteen Corrections is seeking an individual looking for career growth and stability. The Foodservice Director will report to the District Manager and be completely accountable for the dining service operation. The Director will operate the department in accordance with the approved budget, while providing the Client with the maximum value for the dollars spent and ensuring the food offered to the inmates, guests and employees of the community is of superior quality.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for ordering supplies and inventory management.
Maintain accurate production records, and others, as required by governing agencies.
Ensure efficient operation of kitchen including employee time schedule adjustments and assignment.
Ability to make changes and suggestions that increase inmate satisfaction when necessary.
Maintain product service quality standards by conducting ongoing evaluations and investigating complaints.
Maintain officers program for meals.
Help maintain a security function, which protects both the assets of the operation and the personal safety of staff and inmates.
Manage in compliance with local, state and federal laws and regulations.
Enforce and follow sanitation standards and cleaning standards.
Ensure food is prepared on time to meet nutritional standards, meet Department of Health standards and is served in an attractive manner.
Qualifications:
Minimum of High school diploma or GED required; degree in Foodservice Management or Culinary Arts preferred.
Must have a minimum of five (5) years of Foodservice experience, with three (3) years in supervisory/management capacity.
Three (3) years experience in Corrections strongly preferred.
Must have experience with purchasing, inventory, ordering and receiving.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to get along well with others, to demonstrate flexibility and patience, and to work as a member of a team.
Sanitation Certification preferred.
