Sodexo is seeking a Food Service Manager at Marquette University located in Milwaukee, WI. In this role, you will be a food project manager assisting other managers and their teams overseeing and participating in the day to day food operations for various retail outlet locations throughout the campus. Additionally, you will work on special projects as assigned. Responsibilities will include but be not be limited to: managing the food daily operations, food and labor costing, cash handling/management, some financial reporting and direct customer and client interaction.
The successful candidate will have at least 1 year of food or culinary lead/supervisory experience, a strong working knowledge of food production operations, ability to motivate employees, computer literacy as well as excellent leadership and customer service skills. This is an entry level position with room for advancement and professional growth.
Responsible for managing multi-functional food service areas in a single unit. May assume GM's responsibilities and authority in his/her absence. Assists in maintenance of cash control and payroll records. Assists in supporting the financial/HR functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED
Basic Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
