Food Service Storekeeper (Hourly)
The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD), is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Food Service Storekeeper (Hourly) at Georgia Regional Hospital At Savannah (please visit www.garegionalsavannah.com for more information about the hospital). Hourly positions work an average of 29 hours a week and do not receive benefits.
Receives, stores, verifies and issues materials, equipment, and other items. Thoroughly inspects materials received for damaged and/or missing. Break down bulk items received into proper units and issue according to accepted practices, move material from truck to storage using transport carts and appropriate lifting and moving techniques. Performs manual and clerical tasks involved in the distribution of supplies and materials. This is the entry/training level of the Supply, Inventory, and Warehousing job series. Incumbents at this level may require additional training or experience to gain full proficiency in some or all of the job responsibilities. Job Responsibilities & Performance Standards: 1. Delivers and transports supplies 2. Marks items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment 3. Orders supplies to maintain stock and manage inventory 4. Packs and unpacks items to be stocked in stockrooms and warehouses 5. Receives and counts items, and records data manually or using a computer 6. Stores items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas 7. Maintain sanitation, health and safety in work order 8. Measure ingredients required for specific food items being prepared 9. Properly load and unload vehicles in timely manner

Completion of a high school diploma or GED and experience in the area of assignment.
4 years experience in the area of assignment. Must be able to read, write and speak the English language. Must have valid driver's license.
$9.00 / hour. This is an hourly position with no benefits associated.
