General Summary: Oversees operations in the retail area supporting the retail manager and chef as needed. Supervise retail staff and direct them throughout their assigned shift. Assure quality and service excellence in the retail area and enforces cash handling policy and procedures. Meets the needs of guests in the café by assuring sufficient quantities of food and stock during periods of café operations. Responsible for daily supervision of café staff (all cashiers, dietary aide workers, PRN cashiers and dietary aides as well as cold prep cooks) including, but not limited to staff schedules, time and attendance, corrective action, Annual Performance Evaluations, cash handling, and training staff.

Minimum Requirements: Have or in pursuit of high school diploma or equivalent. Four years previous food service experience in a hospital, institution, or restaurant is required; including one year of previous supervisory experience required or additional experience as a supervisor at Holy Cross Hospital with demonstrated leadership potential may be considered in lieu of the supervisory experience. Must be familiar with cash register and cash computer control applications.
