Central Regional Hospital, a state psychiatric hospital located in Butner, NC, seeks a Food Service Supervisor II. This is a permanent, full-time, 1st shift position with the hours of 5am to 1:30pm with alternating weekends and some holidays required . The Food Service Supervisor is responsible for supervision of employees (primarily Food Service Assistant II) assigned to the central tray line. Duties include, but are not limited to the following: scheduling, training, coaching and counseling, planning work, determining work assignments, evaluating work performance and enforcing policies and procedures. Assignments are made verbally and in writing.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies:
Demonstrated ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions including documentation, disciplinary actions, scheduling, performance evaluations and menus spreadsheets. Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of modified diets and portion control; knowledge of method of preparation and cooking of food in large quantities; knowledge of the uses and adaptabilities of various pieces of kitchen equipment and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness as well as food sanitation. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Previous supervisory experience preferred. ADA physical requirements will be discussed during the interview.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
High school or General Educational Development diploma and one year of experience in the preparation and serving of food in large quantities; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
