Works under the supervision of the Food & Nutrition Services Manager and is responsible for safe and sanitary food preparation, proper maintenance of service utensils and small equipment, restocking and cleaning duties, cash register operation, and customer service. Performs other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or GED.
Registration/Certification or License Required:
Food service and/or customer service experience.
Management Experience (If applicable):
One-time standing/walking tolerance of 8 hours.
Lift and carry 25-35 lbs. Push/pull 50-100 lbs (ie. carts).
No allergic reaction to cleaning solvents/agents.
Must be able to read diet instructions, work schedules and effectively communicate with all patients and customers during high volume shifts.
Additional qualifications for thsi specific opening: This position is a relief position for the cafe. This person will be cross trained on a variety of positions in order to cover the days off and vacation of Full-time staff. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Dishwashing, cleaning, inventory and stocking, cold food prep, cashiering, short order cooking, and serving customers. Candidates need strong customer service skills and ability to work in a team environment.
