  • Job Summary: Responsible for accurate and timely set-up of all food and service stations. Responsible for providing excellent customer service and for overall cleanliness and sanitation of all work areas. Performs other duties as needed . Job Specifications: High school graduate or GED required. Minimum one year experience working with food required. Minimum six months institutional foodservice experience preferred. Current Food Handler’s Certificate from San Bernardino County Public Health Department required. ServSafe certification preferred. Able to write legibly with professional quality, use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position; speak and be understood; write and understand English. Able to communicate effectively in English, in person, in writing, and on the telephone with customers/patients/staff; help others and cooperate or follow a specific course of action relate positively, effectively, and professionally with others, working as a team player to achieve LLUMC and departmental goals; demonstrate excellent verbal and listening skills; be assertive and consistent in following and/or enforcing policies; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; lead, supervise, teach and collaborate; accept direction. Able to think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; problem solve; recall information; pay close attention to detail and work independently with minimal supervision; perform basic math calculations; follow instructions. Able to operate equipment and to coordinate body movements to the job.
