The Forecasting Analyst provides analytical and leadership skills to drive the forecasting collaboration process with OskKosh Retail, OshKosh Ecommerce, International, domestic wholesale customer accounts and merchandising groups. Goals include establishing a credible consensus forecast that improves SKU level forecast accuracy and devising new strategies for improving forward SKU coverage. Major responsibilities include:
Create and maintain the SKU level forecasts by week and customer
Participate in monthly collaborative planning sessions with key account representatives
Utilize the output of collaboration to build intelligent category level forecasts
Monitor and revise forecasted mix within a category as needed
Ensure that accurate forecasts by size are passed downstream to the production planning group
Measure monthly forecast accuracy and analyze quantitative and qualitative reasons for forecast error
Working closely with merchandising group in the development of a profitable line structure by providing product analysis and perspective
Produce scheduled and ad hoc point of sale and forecasting reporting for cross-functional use
Involvement in the financial budgeting process
Required Experience:
Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of forecasting experience
Must be able to work on cross-functional teams and be capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and an advanced user of Excel; familiarity with Access is a plus
Candidate must have a strong focus and proven attention to detail
Bachelor degree in a related field
