Ameren Services Company in St. Louis seeks two Forecasting Analyst and Load Research Specialists to:
Design and implement processes and models to forecast electric and gas sales, peak demands and total customers to support the development of corporate budget and resource planning needs.
Prepare monthly reports that analyze the variance between actual and forecast monthly sales.
Design and implement processes that estimate the impact of weather on sales and peak demand.
Work with the Controllers organization to use weather models to perform monthly unbilled sales calculations for all Ameren operating companies.
Work with Missouri and Illinois regulatory staffs on all issues relating to forecasting and weather normalization of sales.
Provide load research data management and analysis services to support electric rate design, Illinois deregulation compliance, marketing initiatives, retail billing, next-day forecasting, determination of energy market values, weather normalization of sales, electric peak and sales forecasts for all Ameren operating companies and to meet Missouri Public Service Commission and Illinois Commerce Commission requirements.
Develop load research database for all Ameren operating companies. Database development includes hourly load data collection, validation, analysis and reporting on a monthly basis using LodeStar client/server software and peripheral data analysis and reporting software.
Manage Meter Data Warehouse, develop rate class profiles for ARES Business Center settlement and internet publishing.
Develop load profiles for quarterly market price calculations. Design samples by various customer classes to estimate hourly load usage with 90% confidence and 10% relative accuracy.
Coordinate implementation of sample with metering and IT departments. 5) Integrate automated meter reading, meter data warehousing (MDW), customer service system (CSS) and load research systems to enhance the efficiency of the load research process.
Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for senior management on the national, state, and local economic outlooks.
MS and BS in Math, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, or Business with an emphasis in Economics / Finance.
