Operates a forklift to manage/move inventory in the warehouse
Basic Qualifications: Must be able to perform the Essential Job Functions with or without a reasonable accommodation in the conditions specified for 8 - 10 hour shifts. Must be able to work weekends, holidays, day and evening hours, and overtime as assigned. Must understand and be able to communicate in English, including but not limited to, reading and interpreting order forms and selection labels. Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills are required. Essential Job Functions: The shipping forklift operator must be able to perform letdowns in a timely manner and in the correct sequence using RF (radio frequency) computer on forklift. The receiving forklift operator is required to put products away to specified locations that the WMS has selected in a timely manner using RF (radio frequency) computer on forklift. Must be familiar with RF terminal and how to navigate through the application. Must undersstand the difference between selection and reserve locations, and how product is placed in those locations.
Knowledge/Additional Skills/Aptitude: Driving forklift requiring standing 100% of the time. Occasional lifting of case product ranging in weight from 5 to 100 lbs. (average case weight being 30 lbs.) Operating moving equipment, i.e. walkers. highlifts Exposure to power equipmnet noise. Exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity (85 to -15 degrees), depending on what department you are working in.
