Determine combat schedule requirements by comparing anticipated (Secret) sortie tasks against the qualification, availability, and training requirements of assigned crewmembers; build long- and short-range shift schedules to ensure full (usually 24/7/365) coverage of all combat pilot, sensor operator, mission intelligence coordinator, instructor, and supervisor positions; de-conflict all crewmember leave, training, temporary duty, appointments, etc. to ensure full schedule coverage at all times; track daily flight/ground/academic training requirements and accomplishments to facilitate accurate flight scheduling; facilitate last-minute schedule changes to ensure full coverage; arrange schedule to facilitate qualification, upgrade, and continuation training accomplishment; obtain simulator availability data from Operations Support Squadron (OSS) Scheduling and schedule crewmembers for continuation training and/or emergency procedures simulators; publish/post scheduling data on secret and unclassified computer systems; enter data into Patriot Excalibur (PEX), Skynet-, Access-, and Excel-based database systems or future equivalent systems; ensure schedule data is published/available during periods when scheduling office is unoccupied; comply with ops group and scheduling chiefs’ locally-developed guidance when building schedule; provide inputs to 432 OSS scheduling to build annual flying hour program in accordance with AFI 11-102 and accomplish weekly flying hour program updates, as required; determine flight, ground, and simulator schedule requirements for upgrade, initial qualification, requalification, transition, currency, and continuation training based on syllabus requirements, student progression, weather, and daily equipment/training range availability; obtain simulator availability data from OSS Scheduling to facilitate efficient schedule development; compile daily scheduling requirement summary for unit review; draft and publish unit long-/short-range ground/academic, flying, and simulator training event schedules on Patriot Excalibur (PEX), Training Management System (TMS), Unmanned Aerial System Learning Management System (LMS), and/or other computer database systems as required; track daily flight/ground/academic training requirements and accomplishments to facilitate accurate flight scheduling; perform daily updates of scheduling data as required to compensate for changing conditions and training completion rates; coordinate with OSS Plans and outside agencies/exercise participants when required (example: RED FLAG, GREEN FLAG, Weapons School support, air show coordinators) to facilitate exercise and special event schedule coordination; attend weekly special use airspace scheduling meeting for schedule coordination and de-confliction; attend weekly planning/coordinating airspace restrictions meeting for schedule coordination and de-confliction; attend range scheduling meetings once a month at Nellis AFB for schedule coordination and de-confliction; review flow plans and ensure schedule complies with airspace policies/rules; provide inputs to OSS Scheduling and update daily Supervisor of Flying (SOF) and Top 3 schedules; update airspace flow management plan as required; update and track unit involvement in exercises such as RED/GREEN FLAG; correlate sortie length and airspace requirements with syllabus requirements; and, provide inputs to OSS Scheduling to build annual flying hour program in accordance with AFI 11-102 and accomplishes weekly flying hour program updates.
