THE WOODROW WILSON NATIONAL FELLOWSHIP FOUNDATION
Founding Director of the MBA in Education
The Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation has for nearly seventy years worked to identify and develop talented individuals to meet the challenges facing the nation. The Foundation is seeking a Founding Director for its new MBA in Education Leadership degree program. With funding of $11+M in grants over five years, The Foundation will initially work with two pilot educational institutions to design and implement MBA programs, one in Milwaukee, WI and one in Indianapolis, IN. The Foundation's goal is for these programs and the degrees they offer to become the gold standard for school leader recruitment and preparation nationwide, creating a national model for school leadership preparation and offering a rigorous terminal degree that provides the basis for a career in school leadership.
America's schools face two achievement gaps. One is international-the disparity in performance between top American school districts and the best performing national school systems. The other is domestic-the gap in achievement among American children that is rooted in geography, income and race. The program in Milwaukee will focus on suburban school districts and the international achievement gap; the Indianapolis program will address both the domestic and international achievement gaps.
The Foundation is seeking a highly respected and creative leader to head this program. The ideal candidate will have experience and credibility in the higher education and K-12 worlds as well as leadership experience in the for-profit sector and/or in the education of for profit leaders.
The Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation has engaged the national executive search firm Isaacson Miller to help with this important project. All nominations and applications should be sent in confidence to:
