This newly created position will be based in Woburn, Mass. He / she reports directly to the Senior Foundry Supplier Quality Engineer.
Job Roles and Responsibilities:
The Foundry SQE will be in charge of Skyworks’s foundry supplier quality management process and act as the primary contact with foundries on the East Coast and Europe on all quality related issues during both the supplier maintenance and supplier selection/qualification process. Also willing to assist in other commodities such as Assembly, Packaging, Test and PCB boards as needed
This individual will be responsible for all supplier management activities, interactions and continuous improvement activities. They will provide supplier related support to Skyworks production and receiving teams and will lead to resolve any non-conformity related to supplier performance.
The Foundry SQE will develop and prioritize an auditing schedule to ensure that designated suppliers are audited on a regular basis to ensure compliance to ISO9001, TS 16949, ANSI20.20 and the requirements called out in the Skyworks Supplier Quality Manual. Audit responsibility will also include making sure that all items in corrective action responses have been fully implemented into the supplier’s quality system.
This individual will be responsible for conducting periodic Supplier Development Reviews in conjunction with the Skyworks Technical Engineering and Sourcing Teams to assess suppliers on their ability to meet quality, delivery and yield targets via scorecard reviews.
The Foundry SQE will be responsible for issuing supplier corrective action requests (SCARs) for non-compliances and tracking the SCARs to ensure timely closure.
The Foundry SQE will also work to ensure that all supplier PCN requests are submitted to the appropriate Skyworks TRB/CCB for review.
This individual will develop a world class Supplier Management Program through the use of Six Sigma and Lean methodologies. This includes the development of supplier related Quality metrics for presentation to senior management on a monthly basis as well as during management reviews.
5 years relevant experience in Wafer Fabrication Quality or Process Engineering.
BS or MS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Solid State Physics, Chemistry, Material Science, Mathematical Statistics, or equivalent.
Understanding of semiconductor device processing, inspection, test and statistical process control.
Understanding of quality system tools such as Gage R&R, FMEA, SPC, OCAPs and, Cpk.
Understanding of Problem Solving methodologies such as 8D, 5-Why, DMAIC, and DOE.
Ability to audit suppliers to ISO9000, TS16949 and ANSI 20.20 Quality Standards
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, Auditor or Black Belt a plus.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint including developing graphs and presentations.
Must be fluent in English.
