Conducts comprehensive investigations on internal and external bank fraud cases employing full knowledge of related laws to ensure assigned cases are pursued through criminal and/or civil avenues. This includes casework responsibilities, conducting field investigations, interviews, gathering and analyzing evidence. The Investigator II is responsibility for the quality, completeness, and compliance of all regulatory filings. Provide support to all Line of Businesses in the identification and mitigation of fraud risk and resulting losses. Identify and create innovative solutions to emerging fraud trends and new technology in the banking industry. Acts as a liaison with Law Enforcement agencies, legal counsel, human resources and may provide court testimony.
Bachelor’s Degree with a major in accounting, finance, criminal justice or minimum four years investigative experience in banking or a related industry.
At least 2-4 years of prior bank fraud invetigative experience required.
Skilled in a variety of PC software applications (word, excel, power point)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of UCC and regulatory requirements (SAR)
Good organizational skills, flexibility in decision making, and the ability to accomplish tasks in a timely manner
Possess the ability to handle multiple cases concurrently requiring multi-tasking skills
Ability to work independently
Some Travel may be required
