The Creative Services Production Hire Assistant Editor is responsible for the day-to-day support in editing video content managed through SPT’s Creative Services.
He/she must work closely with the Creative Services Producer, Editors and Project Manager’s (CSPM) to ensure a smooth and productive workflow.
Assist in editing video content for all lines of SPT’s business, including:
Sales video support
Maintain technical standards & procedures of all Post Production content
Transcoding media assets (SD/HD & PAL/NTSC) and knowledgeable in all video formats and international broadcast standards
BLU-RAY and DVD authoring & burning
Media management and archiving of media assets
Maintain high productivity and a high standard of technical quality in accordance with Sony International Broadcast Standards.
Work well under pressure and under tight deadlines
Manage multiple projects at once
Strong attention to detail and organization
An energetic problem solver who can present creative concepts and solutions
Strong understanding of Digital Asset Management (DAM)
Assisting editors and producer with a variety of tasks on an as needed basis.
Minimum of 1 year television assistant editing/editing experience.
Understanding of Sound Design for sizzle reels, EPKs & promos.
Knowledge of the following applications REQUIRED
Final Cut Pro Studio
Knowledge of International standards and formats
** Position is on an “as needed basis” so a flexible schedule is a must. Will be required to work independently at times, reporting to Creative Service Project Managers.
