ICF seeks a talented Copy Editor to join the creative department of our global professional services firm for freelance/ variable hourly projects. The right candidate will become a part of our award-winning creative team, providing quality assurance for materials developed for our government and commercial clients. The copy editor will be responsible for the following:

Supporting the editing department on a wide range of assignments, including reports, proposals, fact sheets and brochures, Web site content, and training and conference materials.

Demonstrating exceptional editing skills, including proofreading, editing, grammar, spelling, and format checking.

Providing excellent customer service, communicating effectively with internal clients, and meeting project deadlines.

Adhering closely to a variety of contract-specific style guidelines.

:

Bachelor's degree in communications, English, journalism, or a related field

Demonstrated ability to edit text in Microsoft Word using the track changes and comment functions.

Preferred Skills/Experience:
5 or more years of experience providing editorial services, knowledge of GPO style, and experience working in a consulting environment

Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Professional Skills:
Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
