Position Summary: Provides friendly and efficient patient experience, answering phones, scheduling appointments, insurance verification, billing and coding,track accounts receivables and collect outstanding balances. Performs additional duties as needed.Essential Duties: Promptly greets all patients with a welcoming professional demeanor.Answers all calls promptly and practice one call resolution.Must be committed to customer service excellence.Checks patients in in a timely manner and updates patient demographics and insurance information.Checks patients out and generates fee slips accurately.Bills Insurance, collects all payment due at time of service and records them accurately in computer. Stay abreast of provider plans, coding changes and fee schedules.Maintains proper opening and closing procedures.Obtain insurance authorizations/verification.Performs other office duties as required.Job Requirements: Education/Experience- High School Diploma or equivalent.Certificates and Licenses: NoneHave a proven background in optical customer service, insurance processing and collectionsComputer Skills- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word processing software; Microsoft Excel spreadsheet software; OfficeMate and Examwriter; GatewayExcellent Customer Service /Multi-tasking Skills.
