DESCRIPTION

We have an immediate opening for Front Desk Patient Advocate at our Lafayette, Indiana office location. This position is responsible for the initial greeting and triage of the patient's office visit to ensure a proper check-in/check-out process and facilitate the patient visit so that patient has a pleasant reception and exit, and that the account and Medical Record are correct for the visit.

DUTIES

This position covers the Front Desk Registration/Scheduling/Check-out/Reception area at all times during clinic hoursPatient RegistrationCollect co-payments, pre-payments, account balances, etc. Balance Cash receipts daily Ensure that patient chart and visit is HIPAA compliantScheduling Check-out of office visits Complete return to work statements as requested and approved by physicianResponsible for opening office and maintaining the appearance of the waiting roomMonitor the office flow to ensure patients are taken care of promptly. Notify patients of any office delaysAssist with telephones answering routine, general & uncomplicated patient medical questionsWork closely with providers for continuity of patient Customer ServiceOther duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
