Exhibits excellent guest relations and communication skills

Trains, coaches and counsels Front Desk Agents, as required

Checks guests into and out of hotel

Assigns special request guest rooms at start of shift

Exhibits knowledge of all hotel computer systems

Performs designated administrative duties, including scheduling and payroll

Posts charges, settles guest accounts, and handles cash and credit card transactions, according to procedure

Completes cash-out procedures at end of shift and deposits income into safe

Maintains house count on high-occupancy nights

Stays up-to-date with all room rates, room types, special promotions and packages

Sets up guest walks in a sell-out situation

Required Skills & Experience:

Must have high school diploma, at a minimum

Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently, ability to speak a second language is an asset

Must have excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills

Must be customer-service orientated and have excellent hospitality skills

Must be computer literate and be able to type at least 25 wpm

Must have minimum one year front desk experience, knowledge of area and services an asset

Must have minimum one year supervisory experience

Must have the ability to train, motivate, and give direction to staff

Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, when needed

Must be adaptable to change

Must be able to work in fast-paced environment

Must be able to push, stand, stoop, bend and lift items weighing up to 25 pounds
