Position Overview :
You will play a part in holding a lasting impression for our customer’s shopping experience by working closely with the Customer Service Team Leader and Associate Team Leader(s) to ensure smooth operation of the Customer Service Team. You will assist with scheduling, supervision of team members as well as with the day-to-day flow of the department. Additionally you will work on the cash registers and will maintain attractive Customer Service displays and supporting the regional Customer Service vision. You will ensure a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient customer service to customers and team members.
Responsibilities & Qualifications :
Principle Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Assist and support the Front End Team Leader and Associate Front End Team Leader with all departmental functions. 2. Follow through on all customer questions and requests. 3. Create a labor schedule to leverage productivity within the needs of the department. 4. Ensure department orders for equipment, supplies and products are timely and accurate. 5. Keep all cases and shelves clean, well-stocked and properly rotated. 6. Follow established food safety, cleaning and maintenance procedures. 7. Maintain accurate retail pricing and signage. 8. Oversee sampling of store products to the customers. 9. Be aware of new products and their placement. 10. Maintain backstock supply areas. 11. Know and practice proper lifting techniques and safe use of all tools and equipment. 12. Practice proper care and maintenance of all equipment. 13. Report safety violations and hazards immediately; maintain department security. 14. Communicate with Team Members regarding all department operations. 15. Communicate company information to Team Members. 16. Keep Store Leadership informed of all events that affect the department. 17. Participate in regional and national sales promotions. 18. Accept and process product from Receiver. 19. Attend store and regional meetings. 20. Perform Team Member duties as required to run the department. 21. Maintain correct cash drawer setup funds. 22. Exchange cash and change with bookkeepers. 23. Schedule Team Member break and lunch periods. 24. Process customer returns and credits. 25. Authorize check and credit card transactions. 26. Make gift card sales to customers. 27. Ensure Wrist Wand exercises are performed by department Team Members. 28. Collect payment for purchases and make change. 29. Notify the Supervisor when a cash pickup or change is needed 30. Regular attendance is essential. 31. Perform other duties as assigned by Store Leadership/Coordinator. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: 1. Desire to become an Associate Front End Team Leader. 2. Must be self-motivated and solution-oriented. 3. Excellent merchandising skills and eye for detail. 4. Must complete Serv-Safe certification program prior to further advancement. 5. Ability to maintain good relationships with vendors and the community. 6. Good communicator and motivator; able to work well with others and convey enthusiasm. 7. Can train and inspire Team Members to excellence in all aspects of the department. 8. Love and knowledge of natural foods. 9. Is available for flexible scheduling to meet the needs of the department. 10. Knowledge of basic computer skills.
