Supports all modality clerical functions and facilitates the departmental and Radiologists’ needs. Serves as a receptionist for the department.
Data entry of patient orders, verification of tests and auditing.

Greets patients in a timely, accurate manner, ensuring that each patient’s insurance is verified and scripts are accurate. Processes ABNs when necessary.
Accurately orders Medical Imaging exams in the Meditech system.
Communicates with physician's offices regarding additional information required on exams needing correction or completion.
Faxes and documents critical findings. Follows hospital and laboratory policies pertaining to HIPAA compliance.
Follows hospital medical report release in creating and delivering patient reports and images (CDs).
Receive and forward phone calls to appropriate staff.
Weekend and evening staff calls the on-call techs in MRI and Nuclear Medicine whenever required.
Orders supplies as needed.
Administers service recovery program for Medical Imaging
Education, Training & Experience
High school graduate or equivalent is required.
Medical terminology is preferred.
Knowledgeable of personal computers, MS Office and spreadsheets is required.
