Job Purpose:

our client is seeking a highly motivated candidate to join the Credit Front Office Development Team supporting Credit Trading businesses in New York, London and Asia.

Job Background/Context:

Successful candidates will join a front office development team and will work with business clients to deliver trade capture, pricing, risk, eTrading, and reporting solutions based on their requirements. The successful candidate will implement solutions using new technology frameworks developed in house for next-generation software development and innovate solutions and frameworks of their own.

A substantial part of our Risk & Reporting infrastructure is built using functional programming (clojure); the role will provide a unique opportunity in the Finance industry to acquire experience of developing products using functional programming and see it put to use in value-added deliverable for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

•Implementing trade capture, pricing, risk, eTrading, & reporting solutions using new strategic frameworks

•Gathering requirements for new functionality from business users; offering timely solutions; developing, testing, and implementing these solutions

•Supporting and enhancing the existing infrastructure and applications across a variety of technologies (.NET, Java, RBDMS).

•Building knowledge of credit projects

•Credit Quantitative Research

•Market Risk and Credit Risk Teams

Knowledge/Experience:

•Experience building applications (front end and/or server)

•Strong in algorithms & data structures

•Aptitude for Functional programming

•Expertise in any mainstream programming language (OO, functional or dynamic)

•Strong communication skills

•Experience or interest in Agile development

•Knowledge of credit derivatives or other financial products (optional)

•Exposure to any of the following technologies is a bonus: WPF/XAML, Clojure, Hadoop, Apache Camel, HBase
