As Fuel Analyst for the Marine Operations group, you will be a key contributor to the organization by providing analytical support to the organizations financial and operational teams. You will work with management to develop new analytical tools to fuel related financial impacts and manage the fuel invoicing process for the Carnival fleet.

Responsibilities include:
• Sift through large amounts of data and turn this information into key qualitative and quantitative analyses
• Analyze and report the financial impact of implemented energy conservation initiatives
• Develop new tools and analyses related to fuel and energy consumption
• Assist with fuel budgeting and forecasting
• Reconcile quantities of fuel received by verifying system entries and comparing to vendor invoices
• Analyze monthly and quarterly variance explanations for executive review
• Work with internal shipboard and shore-side stakeholders to resolve fuel quantity disputes
• Assist Technical Information Services in testing and analyses of new system implementations

• Advanced proficiency in Excel including look-ups, pivot tables, and macros
• Proficiency in extracting data from systems such as Access, Hyperion Essbase, SQL Server, or Oracle
• Experience in handling large quantities of data
• Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting techniques
• Experience in invoice reconciliation or accounts payable processing
• IT knowledge or engineering background is a plus
• Ability to manage multiple projects to completion
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in related discipline or 4 years of experience in related field
