anager is responsible for fuel operations, including negotiating and managing fuel procurement contracts to maintain supplies at the best possible cost. Plan and direct programs that lead to enhanced guest service. Provide Ultimate Service, Superior Performance, and Positive Impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Negotiate and manage all aspects of fuel procurement to profitably and competitively support and grow retail fuel sales
Financial responsibility for fuel retail operations
Heavy interface and communication with Retail Operations supervision to maximize the potential of sales, service and profitability
Recommend and direct the activities and processes of the fuel department to strategically align Fuel Operations with the Company’s goals and objectives
Monitor benchmarks and analyze progress toward the attainment of documented goals
Maintain retail fuel pricing based on cost, market conditions, and business goals
Support operations to ensure fuel stations are in operable conditions for the guest with fiscally sound expense management
Guide and direct policies and procedures for fuel retail sales and operations
Plan and direct programs that allow for enhanced Guest service
Provide recommendations and support for training at the operations level
Perform other duties as requested by supervisor
Key Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or 3 to 5 years of related experience in the petroleum industry
Extensive knowledge in the retail/wholesale gasoline business
Technical knowledge and understanding of fuel pump operations and related technologies
Procurement knowledge in gasoline and diesel fuels
Previous experience creating, implementing and monitoring effective business plans
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel
Convenience Channel knowledge is beneficial
Overnight travel is required
Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits and attitude
Ability to function as a team member and get along with others
