The Management, Innovation, & Entrepreneurship ( MIE ) department has faculty with research programs in entrepreneurship, strategy, management of technology and innovation, organization leadership, and HR. The MIE Department has both graduate and undergraduate programs and offers numerous courses in the MBA program.
The MIE department and other departments in the Poole College of Management house several distinguished academic centers, including The Entrepreneurship Collaborative ( TEC ), Center for Innovation Management Studies ( CIMS ), Supply Chain Research Consortium, and the Enterprise Risk Management Initiative.
North Carolina State University is located in Raleigh, NC, within minutes of the technology-rich companies of the Research Triangle Park region and also quite near Duke University and UNC at Chapel Hill. With some 31,000 students and over 100 degree programs at the bachelor’s master’s professional, and doctoral levels, NC State University is a major research university with traditional strengths in science and technology research. Its 1000-acre Centennial Campus adjoins the 700-acre main campus and has been recently selected as the Best University Research Park in the United States.
Essential Job Duties
This position is intended to be at full professor faculty level. Primary responsibilities include teaching graduate courses, maintain a dynamic, scholarly research program in entrepreneurship or related fields, and support the activities of the a growing entrepreneurship program.
Minimum Education/Experience
Qualified candidates must have completed Ph.D. in entrepreneurship and/or management of technology relevant area. Exceptionally well qualified advanced associate professors are encouraged to apply.
Departmental Required Skills
Significant scholarship and impact commensurate with full professor rank as well as outstanding teaching evaluations are required. The ability to provide leadership in entrepreneurship is important.
Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education
Qualified candidates with real-world entrepreneurship and management and executive education experience.
