IFCO SYSTEMS is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of General Manager for our pallet management services division in Minneapolis, MN. This position is responsible for managing total plant operations and delivering superior customer satisfaction by driving results and exceeding expectations in the key areas of sales, marketing, budgeting, compliance, safety programs, and people management.Responsibilities: Responsible for local marketing and sales activities; expands existing market potentials thru direct sales activities; studies local market trends to develop new strategies for increasing market share through existing and new business practices. Maintains active customer pipeline and adds new prospects as needed to ensure thorough market penetration. Full P& L Responsibility; analyzes P/L statements and balance sheets to determine efficiencies and inefficiencies in business practices. Directs the work of all facility employees - establishes production and shipping. schedules based on availability of raw and finished goods. Makes direct and indirect sales calls to secure and maintain customers and to secure and maintain the inflow of raw materials (cores). Directly responsible for all employment decisions at the facility. Sets pay scales for production employees and staff based on facility profitability goals and local market demands. Manages and directs all OSHA and Safety programs. The ideal candidate will have 3 years proven, hands-on management experience in a manufacturing, operations, distribution, or logistics environment. Prior sales experience - especially as it relates to developing new markets and analyzing current market potentials - is a definite plus. Responsibilities will include marketing, sales, operations, and administrative management.
This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field. Applicants must have P&L and budgeting experience.
