Develops and presents GIS system and cartographic mapping elements; integrates GIS elements with other technology; responds to difficult inquires from end-users, developers, and other customers regarding GIS requirements; develops, plans, and implements complex GIS applications software for the system users and operators; designs and develops complex GIS database models and templates; writes, edits, installs, and verifies programs for debugged and edits programs for accessing, maintaining, linking and populating databases; participates in economic development functions requiring GIS support; transposes complex data from records maps, CAD drawings, parcel maps, demographic models and economic resources and other source documents into GIS and/or related database; participates in the development, maintenance and implementation of policies and procedures that ensure the accuracy of GIS information is maintained; coordinates GIS integration with financial services software; assists GIS Project Manager and staff in analyzing, testing, and resolving production problems; assists in writing procedures for utilizing GIS software and applications; and performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
B.S. degree in Computer Science, Information system, GIS or related field
3+ years experience working with a GIS system or other enterprise Data Management system.
