The Infrastructure Division of ARCADIS seeks to hire a GIS Specialist to join the team in our Dallas, TX Office. The successful candidate would be responsible for supporting the design, development, and implementation of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) solutions to assist environmental engineering, transportation, water resources, and utility asset management (e.g., water / stormwater / wastewater) projects. Common job tasks include, but are not limited to: data acquisition, data processing, development of GIS data layers and attributes (i.e. digitization), imagery analysis and interpretation, management of geospatial databases, map production, and development of report graphics.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum years of experience: 2
Education required: Bachelor's Degree in Geography / GIS / Urban Planning / Environmental Science / Geology / Computer Science or other related field
Skills required: Proficiency with Esri ArcGIS (version 10 or 10.1). Experience with Microsoft products (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Basic written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Geography / GIS
Skills preferred: Experience in geodatabase design & ArcGIS extensions (e.g., 3D Analyst, Spatial Analyst). Familiarity with Microsoft Visio a plus.
This position does not require travel. Travel amount is negligible.
A valid driver's license and clean driving record is required for this position.
