Duties and Responsibilities

Provide direct supervision of GIS and CAD departments for midstream business group. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

• Perform project management tasks for GIS and CAD projects
• Work with Operations to set project priorities and ensure timely completion
• Accountable for GIS and CAD data quality
• Primary department interface with Operations, Engineering, IT and other departments
• Understand DOT regulations related to GIS and asset data and implement processes to ensure compliance
• Understand strategic value of data and develop systems and processes to address company’s business needs
• Implement and manage processes to ensure that GIS system is accurate and complete so that system meets identified business objectives
• Work with other departments to define and coordinate data management processes including survey data collection, inspection and project completion reports
• Develop, implement, and manage processes to perform routine data analysis and generate reports that are accurate and repeatable with minimal manual data manipulation
• Develop, implement, and manage a geodatabase that allows for multiple users to access data and to support the growing needs of the business
• Assist with or perform data technician and survey coordinator tasks as needed
• Provide technical expertise and direction to GIS team members
• Implement and manage processes to ensure that CAD drawings are accurate and complete
• Develop schedules for CAD projects and ensure completion to meet needs of other departments
• Ensure CAD department provides timely, accurate, and collaborative support to engineering and field personnel in the development and updating of AutoCAD drawings in all disciplines
• Ensure document management system contains the most accurate and complete record of QEPFS facility drawings
Work Conditions
Requires working in a fast-paced collaborative team environment. May require additional work hours, overnight travel, and/or weekend work for project completion, working in inclement weather and in field conditions (including slippery and uneven surfaces), and operating a 4WD vehicle.
Minimum Qualifications

MUST demonstrate proficiency in:
ESRI GIS software, current version
• Use of personal computers, including the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Use of other GIS software (Facility Manager, Trimble, Cartopac, and Delorme)
• PODS database administration preferred
MAY demonstrate skill in (desired, but not required):
AutoCAD, current version, including ability to work in model space and paper space
• Field verification of Piping & Instrument drawings, Process Flow Diagrams, and Plot Plans
• Standard symbols and format of Piping & Instrument drawings, Process Flow Diagrams, and Plot Plans
• Other drawings common to various engineering disciplines (civil, structural, piping, and electrical)
• Document Management software (Meridian)
Skill in:
Relating interpersonally with field operators, engineers, office administrators, and management
• Maintaining a high level of accuracy, detail, and productivity in all aspects of work
• Systematically organizing large amounts of data, files, and information
Ability to:
Follow written and oral instructions; see objects at close range; effectively communicate orally and in writing; be courteous to co-workers and customers; maintain positive relationships in a fast-paced work environment, meet project deadlines, and refrain from abusive or profane language and behavior in the workplace.
Other Requirements
Minimum of 10 years relevant GIS experience in any of the following industries: oil refining, chemicals, natural gas processing, compression, and/or pipeline operations
• Minimum of 5 years relevant supervisory experience
• Minimum education requirement: College Degree in GIS Information Systems preferred
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
• Undergo random drug and/or alcohol testing with satisfactory results
• Regular attendance
