This is a temporary position full-time position.
Works in a team responsible for the maintenance of Kennedy Space Center (KSC) GIS data using ESRI ArcGIS Desktop applications and utilizing various workflows including importing CAD and survey data, analyzing project drawings, and collecting data in the field.
Create and maintain GIS data and provide a wide variety of map products utilizing sound cartographic principles and practices.
Assist in various spatial analysis requests from other KSC departments.
Knowledge of the principles, practices, methods and techniques of GIS to provide advice and expertise to the KSC Community.
Comply with the KSC spatial data standards, usual and customary work methods, and ISC work instructions and procedures when preforming job responsibilities.
Preforms in compliance with Federal, State, local, NASA, laws, regulations, requirements and collective bargaining agreements, security, safety, hurricane and other specialized programs or contractual requirements relating to the business of the Branch, working within the limits of established policy.
Responsible for effectively scheduling and working multiple assignments and maintaining the status of assigned work in assignment management application.
May require daily fieldwork.
Preforms other duties as assigned by Supervisor or GIS Analyst.
Bachelor's Degree in GIS, Computer Science, Geography or a related field with a minimum of two (2) years experience. Equivalent education/experience may be applicable.
Two (2) or more years of ArcMap experience required.
Good working knowledge of common office software such a Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Ability to make sound/routine, independent decisions based on the working knowledge of general business principles, company and corporate procedures, goals and priorities.

Possess and maintain a valid driver's license.

Responsible for performing assigned tasks in support of comprehensive planning, engineering analysis, real property accounting and other functions involved in maintaining facility infrastructure.
Knowledge of Python scripting
Knowledge of querying relational databases.
Ability to read and understand design engineering drawing and specifications.
