GROUND SERVICES EQUIPMENT ( GSE) MECHANIC HELPER

PART TIME - SEASONAL

Hourly Position: $10.00-$12.00

Primary Tasks:

Perform all phases of maintenance on equipment and assist Mechanics

As well as additional duties as assigned by the GSE Lead and GSE Manager

Responsibility:
  • Perform preventative and break down maintenance on equipment
  • Ability to work with Oxy-Acetylene, wire feed and stick welding
  • Ability to fabricate/repair metal parts as required
  • Ability to follow directions from Lead, Mechanics or Management
  • Repair or replace parts on non-motorized equipment and motorized under supervision
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Ability to operate fork lift and tow equipment
  • Report vehicle abuse to management
  • Respond to radio calls for downed non-powered equipment
  • Adhere to airport rules and regulations
  • Pass TSA 10 year back ground check, secure AOA badge with driving stripe & U.S. Customs Seal
  • Ensure to follow all safety procedures and safety alerts
  • Ensure to clean up any oil spills after working on equipment
  • Dispose of used fluids in proper location
  • Must possess a motor vehicle drivers license

Profile:
  • Ability utilize Maximo computer system
  • Automotive experience (2-year min.)
  • Some computer knowledge
  • Must have own roll-a-way tool box and meet minimum tool requirements
  • Ability to work under pressure, weekends, holidays and evenings
  • Communication skills
  • Ability to perform quality work
  • Ability to do welding tasks
