Job Description:
Enterprise Business Services is seeking a qualified Program Manager to lead primarily the Transamerica deliveries for the Global Reporting Strategy (GRS) initiative. This Program Manager will work closely with Finance Senior Management and with AEGON Corporate Center. The Program Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of the Transamerica deliverables for the GRS Program including planning, quality, cost, resource allocation, functionality and execution. They will utilize their expertise and leadership skills for facilitating timely and complete resolution of project issues, risks and decisions to meet program/project deadlines. In addition, the Program Manager is responsible for management across program/projects that are inter-dependent or common.

The Program Manager should have working industry knowledge of financial reporting and demonstrated leadership skills. This person will act as a thought leader recommending improvements to project/program processes and procedures to ensure high quality, efficient project delivery. They should possess proven analytical skills for complex problem solving and be able to demonstrate through previous work experience the ability to guide and influence at multiple levels of the organization.

  • Assist Transamerica management and sponsors in defining the strategic plan for each program/project
  • Demonstrate comprehensive abilities in leading program/project teams through complex issues, ambiguity and scope changes; driving the team to clarity and making effective decisions.
  • Manage interdependencies and common critical path milestones across the projects, facilitating risk management, issue escalation/resolution, scope change and implementation planning
  • Manage multiple vendors
  • Provide direction and coaching/mentoring to project managers leading individual projects within the program
  • Define and direct formal communication methods and establish open and consistent communication with all levels within the organization
  • Ensure project teams are held accountable for meeting goals and objectives
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in a business related field or equivalent training/experience required. Minimum of 10 years experience with at least 5 years experience managing complex multi-system and/or multiple department projects preferred. PMP or equivalent project certification preferred.
