The Receiving Lead is responsible for the accurate checking or counting of all products for inbound freight.


High school degree or G.E.D. is required.
Must be able to lift between 50 – 100 pounds and have previous experience with forklift operation.
Forklift license required.
Must have a good driving record and adequate transportation.
Must have some background in shipping and receiving.


Capable with a personal computer.


The Receiving Lead is responsible for ensuring that all product is free of damage and infestation and that product codes, expiration dates and unit of measure match our purchase order and are properly recorded. The Receiving Lead assures that the quantity, quality, labeling, and integrity of the shipment being received is intact and acceptable.

Inbound Freight
Prior to product storage, count all product, compare to manifest, and check all shipments for damage, infestation, and product expiration dates. Report shortages, damages, and mis shipments on appropriate forms and forward to the Warehouse Manager. Sign for inbound shipments.

Safely and efficiently operate forklift, reach trucks or any other materials handling equipment as required, and assist in the loading or unloading of merchandise moving into or out of the warehouse as needed.

Safety, Sanitation, Security
Maintain a clean; neat, and orderly work area. Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse. Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety and security. Comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards.

Must maintain a good attendance record.


Participate in cycle counts and physical inventories.
Perform any other duties as assigned.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee will be subject to a typical warehouse environment (heat, cold, hard floors) and is often exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee must be able to stand for long periods of time.

Excellent interpersonal abilities, ability to get along with diverse personalities, tactful, mature and flexible. Ability to establish credibility and be decisive but be able to recognize and support the organization’s preferences and priorities. Service oriented, but assertive/persuasive.


Interacts with all levels of management, external vendors and customers, as well as company employees.
