Supports Carilion’s hallmarks of service excellence and quality for all job responsibilities. Responsible for proactively meeting and greeting guests, at designated areas within the facility including the front entrances. Serves as a guest’s link between Valet and designations within the facility in order to ensure a seamless flow of operations. Provides assistance and way-finding information to facilitate entry to, or exit from, the facility, as well as detailed information regarding the campus to best assist guests with directions. May provide room numbers as requested. Provides guidance to volunteers for tasks and responsibilities associated with daily operations. Maintains a calm, courteous and professional demeanor, projecting a positive first impression to internal and external customers. Conducts guest interviews and facility tours for community members as assigned by lead. Teams with lead and manager on customer service practice and process improvement. Practices the SERVE-U philosophy.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
Education: High school diploma or GED required.
Experience: Minimum 2 years experience in a front-line customer relations/service position required. Hotel experience w/ strong customer service skills preferred. Computer literate in company e-mail, Internet. Basic Excel and Microsoft Word skills

Other Minimum Qualifications: Must have excellent interpersonal skills, hospitable personality, calmness, tact, diplomacy and professionalism in handling all situations. Must be neat in appearance. Hospital experience recommended, basic typing skills required. Ability to use computer terminal to access information. Proficient in office equipment. Ability to perform all functions of this position within 90 days with minimal supervision. Dependable, accessible, and occasionally available for an on-call basis.
