This position is an onboard position. Candidate will live onboard the boat in the assigned crew areas. They will be on a 12-weeks on/4-week off rotation, meaning they will live entirely on the vessel for 12 weeks (including weekends), then have 4 weeks off. This position requires a clean background and drug screen. Our company prides itself on customer service, professionalism, and neat appearance. Candidates with previous cruise industry experience and/or four-star service experience are encouraged to apply.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - the following are essential functions of the job but are not all-inclusive

Ware washing, storage and stocking of all galley equipment, coordinate with staff to ensure that proper par levels of service ware is maintained. Assist in dining room cleaning and set up after each meal period

Follow all company, USCG, and FDA rules and regulations at all times. Participate and ensure participation of all USCG mandated drills and emergency procedures as directed

Participate in pre-shift and post-shift meetings

Ensure that all sanitation and safety specifications are adhered to during meal period. Report any mechanical issues to the Executive Chef

Follow all sanitary standards to ensure compliance with CDC/VSP guidelines

Daily attention to all cost control systems

Meet and exceed passenger expectations by ensuring departments provide "Yes, I Can!" service

Maintain compliance with the company grooming and uniform standards

Assist as needed in all mandated inventories and orders

Other duties as directed

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma

One year experience

Cruise industry experience preferred

Submit to and pass alcohol and drug tests including but not limited to pre-employment, random, and post-accident testing

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted

Excellent verbal and written communication

WORKING CONDITIONS

Ability to maneuver tight quarters of the boat including many stairs, crew areas, engine room, and rooms without windows

Living onboard the boat in close quarters with fellow co-workers for 12-weeks at a time

Outside conditions, extreme heat

Marine operation subject to varied wake and motion

Moderate noise level
