•Bachelor’s Level Degree

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
•5 to 7 years related accounting experience
•Knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices and principles
•Understanding of general ledger accounts and reconciliation
•Experience in month end closing entries, reporting and other related activities.
•Experience working within an Expense Reporting System
•Knowledge and experience in Fixed Assets
•Strong computer skills; MS Office suite and ERP experience (Oracle preferred)
•Expert analytical skills and attention to detail
•Ability to maintain good working relationships with external contacts and internal staff across all levels

POWER SYSTEMS DIVISION
The Power Systems Division, one of the biggest in-house companies in Toshiba, is a leading manufacturer of heavy electrical apparatuses with a worldwide sales/service network. The North American operation of the Power Systems business operates out of three facilities: the San Francisco, CA office, the Chadds Ford, PA office, and the Milwaukee Service Center in West Allis, WI. As a leading electric equipment manufacturer, Power Systems has globally supplied steam turbine generators to both the regulated and non-regulated electric markets within North America since 1967.
In addition, Power Systems has provided reliable, innovative, and environmentally friendly products, services, and energy to the marketplace for more than 100 years. Critical functions such as proposal reviews and preparation, application engineering, logistics, project management, inventory, training, and after-market support are all performed between these three locations.
This position is responsible for various general accounting activities with the main focus on fixed assets, cash management, assisting with month end closing activities, managing departmental budget variance analysis and reporting, and monthly GL account reconciliations.
•Manage the fixed asset process.
•Responsible for analyzing, printing and distributing monthly financial statements to all department managers.
•Assist with month end close, financial forecast, and other reporting.
•Perform various general ledger reconciliations and related entries in conjunction with the monthly close.
•Responsible for cash management. Performing daily cash entries, reviewing aging accounts receivables and creating a monthly cash flow projection.
•Responsible for assisting with the coordination of expense reporting process to ensure proper procedures are followed, expenses are properly allocated to job task lines or general ledger accounts and departments, and that accurate documentation is available for T&M billing on a timely basis.
•Annual responsibility for generation of 1099s and ensuring all W-9s are on file.
•Assist in generating Personal Property Tax return for Toshiba.
•Comply with all safety rules, company policies, and work procedures.
