Candidate must possess a law degree from an
accredited law school, and must be a member in good
standing of a United States state bar association and
licensed to practice law. Individual must have
experience in and proven ability in providing day to day
legal advice and counsel with an orientation
toward providing practical solutions as a member of a
senior business team.

Specific Job Description
This position provides advice, counsel and legal
support to functional organizations and operations
within the Defense business of Information
Systems and Global Solutions (IS&GS). The successful
candidate for this position will work regularly with
company personnel from contracts administration,
procurement, program management, HR, and business area executive management. There is
frequent interface with attorneys and managers from
outside companies and the U.S. Government.
Applicants selected will be subject to a government
security investigation and must meet eligibility
requirements for access to classified information.

Standard Job Description
Provides legal advice, counsel and service to internal business clients concerning legal rights, obligations, and privileges of corporations. Draws up contracts involving leases, licenses, purchases, sales, real estate, employment, insurance, mergers, acquisitions and related matters. Keeps current on legislative issues, statutes, decisions and ordinances of quasi-judicial bodies. Examines legal data to determine advisability of defending or prosecuting lawsuit. Acts as agent of corporation in various transactions. Advises company regarding concerns for risk assessment. Must have admission to practice law. May develop, review, or implement company-wide and/or functionally specific training programs. May also oversee corporate governance matters and its various committees. May work with outside counsel to direct activities.

Security Clearance

Typical Minimums
Bachelors degree in an engineering/technical discipline from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 20 years or more of professional experience; or 18 years with a related Masters, or 15 years with a related PhD degree. Viewed as the most senior authority in discipline.
