To follow set procedures in the process of sanitation, making & packaging cheese and cream products in a safe manner to ensure the product meets quality specifications set by the company to fulfill customer specifications.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Following established procedures in the cheese making process
Working on cheese curd on the tables
Adding salt to the cheese on the tables
Be able to manually catch and line up cheese to be hand-wrapped
Be able to hand-wrap and be able to keep up with conveyor speed
Operate mix/dry area machines physically and mentally
Be able to transfer, weigh and turn curd
Operate equipment for the movement of the cheese curd from the tables to package equipment
Clean and sanitize all equipment used in processing, the floors, and the walls in the finish room
Maintain production and cleaning chart records
Must follow all safety procedures
Must follow all Good Manufacturing Practices
Must follow all Quality Assurance standards
Keep work area clean and neat at all times
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Basic arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Must be able to write legibly to complete paperwork
Able to communicate with co-workers, team leaders
Must be able to work with minimal supervision and follow written and/or verbal procedures
