The Active Network is seeking a fast moving, highly motivated & extremely intelligent leader to become the next General Manager of Faith. This dynamic and entrepreneurial professional will own the P&L and will be responsible to run and lead the strategy, execution, and staff involved with rapidly growing the leading business in Active’s targeted niche within this vertical. Own and manage the Faith P&L including budgeting, forecasting, and strategy
Grow the business rapidly. Provide strategy to increase use of products and services including development of key metrics to demonstrate increased usage and improving revenue
Lead by example to provide goals and direction for all personnel that are part of the relevant business unit
Actively involved with by working directly with mega church customers, prospects, and partners.
Dig into the numbers – there is an expectation that the GM know their business intimately and strong analytical skills are required. Create metric targets, reviews, and corrective action processes to ensure the business reacts quickly to gaps and changes.
Develop business unit positioning, product and services strategy, pricing, and product roadmap priorities. Be closely involved with the product details and direction to ensure we create world-class technology for the organizations in the applicable vertical.
Prioritization of key projects and resources to meet business and product goals
Present investment proposals to the executive team with clear ROI’s to receive additional funding to accelerate growth.
Identify key opportunities for partnerships to enhance product functionality and develop additional revenue streams
Own vision setting – tell the story of where the business unit and product set will be in 5 years and align the team around this target
Provide monthly financial updates in Active’s Executive Operations meeting to review performance and progress against key initiatives.
Provide deep-dive presentations to Active’s Executive Team quarterly, including full industry and competitive analysis, long-term planning, and product roadmap updates
Partner with HR to ensure the right people are in place to build a great, fast-growing, and profitable business.
5+ years Church experience and strong understanding of the future needs of growing churches
2+ years experience owning and managing a P&L of at least $5M in revenue
5+ years working in the technology industry
Strong leader, willing to learn new skills and be able to work in a team environment
High through-put, work ethic, and intellectual horsepower. Someone that executes and gets things done.
Demonstrated strong strategic planning capabilities
Experience with software development and sales to organizations; SaaS experience preferable
Strong analytical skills
Excellent oral and written communications skills. Good in front of customers, partners, and executives.
Ability to lead both technical and non-technical discussions with both technicians and non-technical personnel
Ability to guide church leaders in innovative ministry best practices
Prior experience with new business development
Strong knowledge and understanding of general business, advertising and marketing principles
Knowledge of consumer interface issues and product development a plus
