We are currently seeking a General Manager (Food & Beverage) to manage the Centerplate operations at the Community America Ballpark home of the KC T-Bones in Kansas City, KS.

The Kansas City T-Bones are a professional baseball team based in Kansas City, Kansas, in the United States. The T-Bones are a member of the American Association of Independent Professional Baseball, which is not affiliated with Major League Baseball. The T-Bones have played their home games at Community America Ballpark since 2003,

PRINCIPAL FUNCTION:
This is a position of high accountability. This position offers support and direction to the entire management team of his or her assigned unit(s) in relation to food and beverage, merchandise and catering operations, and drives achievement of QUE³ST objectives; driving R = M X V for clients; management of the profit and loss statement for the unit’s business; and direction and coordination of unit activities consistent with the Company’s mission, vision, strategic pillars and policies. Ensure delivery of client intimate services and achievement of the Brand Promise of “Craveable Experiences. Raveable Results.”

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work closely with senior management to strategically move the Food and Beverage, Merchandise and Catering Services to progressively successful levels. Develop, assist, create and analyze the budgetary goals for financial success of the assigned unit(s) and Company. Drive profitability, innovation and the highest of customer satisfaction at your unit(s).

Deliver on objectives of QUE³ST and “Craveable Experiences. Raveable Results.” in all operations, and fulfill company goals and objectives. Manage unit to reduce costs, enhance revenues, foster client relations, drive efficiencies and attain growth. Encourage managers to evaluate and take actions that are consistent with Company's overall strategies.

Conduct all operations at unit in accordance with company mission, vision, values, core mandate, integrity and strategic pillars. Drive sales at unit with innovation and promotions. Enforce optimization programs at unit.

Provide unmatched quality of products and services, innovative products and programs, attain Clients’ satisfaction, drive profitable operations and develop exceptional people and their talent.

Implement programs to ensure attainment of QUE³ST objectives, attainment of goal to be #1 in hospitality and business plan for growth and profit. Implement and measure consistent compliance with company operational standards, policies and procedures. Streamline operations and focus on capturing low hanging fruit. Continuously look for “upgrade” opportunities.

Ensure operations comply with strategic pillars so that all efforts are to re-energize the brand, execute extraordinary experiences and maximize new business growth. Strive for excellence in all you do. Develop new business strategies to increase market share and improve unit performance. Embrace recommendations of COEs and take action to implement. Demonstrate intelligent innovation in all of your efforts.

Drive client relationships and develop customer intimacy programs. Initiate total solution deliverables at unit. Drive R = M x V for clients. Be client intimate. Dial up efforts to connect with clients. Function as an effective liaison and intermediary between the Company and public in the community.

Develop and execute a strategy to improve the profitability of the assigned unit(s) and Company, enhance positive revenue growth and excellence in quality and speed of service, and develop new business, ancillary sales, new accounts and acquisitions.

Establish and maintain effective customer rapport and maintain mutually beneficial business relationships with clients.

Responsible for account retention, extensions and renewals.

Create WOW experiences for all clients and customers. Develop and drive (when called upon, support) the successful field implementation of new products, programs and initiatives.

Provide guidance and motivation to general manager(s), managers and other staff – inspire all managers, supervisors and employees. Create a culture of pride and courage in all managers.

Develop a culture of consistency in all aspects of operations.

Communicate and implement Company vision and direction.

Provide overall planning, direction and control to assigned unit to achieve operating and financial goals. Drive success in management of labor, cost of goods sold and labor scheduling.

Recruit, train and manage management team to provide exceptional service to Company’s clients, drive growth of revenue and profit and maintain high quality of service. Collaborate with Centers of Excellence to train future leaders.

Assist in the development and succession of culinary professionals.

Manage consistency of operations by strict enforcement of Company Standard Operating Procedures.

Participate in senior management and strategy planning sessions.

Provide overall planning, direction and control to assigned unit(s) to achieve operating and financial goals.

Develop annual performance objectives, conduct employee assessments and facilitate management assessments of employees.

Apprise Corporate HR Department of employee and labor issues.

Other responsibilities may include participating in the sales process and helping to drive optimal performance on all new sales start-ups; selecting and training management staff and serving as the source of development and evaluation of the managers; being a key driver of unit meetings and communications plans; and leading Operating Reviews with senior management teams.

Regularly review all food and beverage pricing and identify all yield management revenue opportunities.

Minimize legal liability, and insure venues and employees conform to the regulations of the alcohol beverage authority.

Implement and enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and/or dining areas.

Promote and comply with all policies and procedures.

Perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

Required:
Associate degree (Bachelor’s degree preferred) or equivalence.

Prior management experience of 3 years in a food and beverage general management role of a major multi-use high profile facility.

Managed volume experience of at least 3 million annual sales.

Excellent presentation, public speaking skills, writing and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency with PC and MS Office.

Must be detail oriented and able to work well within given timeframes.

Management/ownership of financials including profit-loss, budgets and forecast responsibilities.

Ability to motivate and influence employees, peers and other staff.

Strong management and personnel development capabilities.

Ability to promote and participate in team environment concepts.

Ability to understand written and oral direction and to communicate same with others.

Preferred:
Degree in business, finance, accounting, marketing or hospitality.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Mobility is needed to attend various meetings and events. Hours may be extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays. Extensive travel and travel for extended periods of time (several weeks at a time) may become necessary on a regular basis.
