The General Manager for our casino is responsible for entire operation of the Casino and for the achievement of established goals and objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)
  • Oversees and directs all operational activities associated with both short and long-term strategic planning.
  • Promotes a working environment designed to achieve greater profits and effective working relations.
  • Maintains effective and harmonious channels of communication between management and team members that promotes team member morale and enhances a positive working environment.
  • Ensures that a standard of excellence in guest service is delivered and guest service satisfaction throughout the property is achieved and maintained.
  • Examines, evaluates, and pursues new trends, markets or methods that can assist the growth and success of the organization.
  • Leads, manages and directs the department managers and directors to ensure effective, efficient and productive departments.
  • Directs the preparation of the annual operating budget which includes accurate revenue projections, operational expenses, capital improvements, and depreciation; presents the Board for approval.
  • Negotiates contracts and review same with legal counsel.
  • In consultation with the Tribal Council, develops policies and goals that cover casino operations, personnel and the financial performance and growth of the company.
  • Guides and influences the management staff to become a viable and cohesive team that successfully accomplishes tasks and objectives.
  • Establishes and enforces rules and regulations of the Casino.
  • Ensures compliance with gaming regulations.
  • Approves credit as stipulated by the Credit Policy.
  • Directs the preparation and development of short-term and long-range plans and budgets.
  • Plans and directs staffing, training, development and evaluation of personnel. Ensure the suitability of all employees.
  • Resolves problems and recommends courses of action to resolve issues that are beyond the scope of the directors.
  • Conducts periodic market research to optimize target markets and revenue potential.
  • Acts as a liaison with appropriate local and federal governmental agencies to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Ensures that the physical company is in compliance with all local and federal safety and accommodation requirements.
