Job Description:
Job Summary
The General Manager is responsible for leading and
directing the Copart Operations facility team to achieve
revenue, budget and customer satisfaction goals by
ensuring that company standards of performance are
developed and met.
Essential Functions
  • Hire, train, develop and supervise management and
front line staff to meet company standards and to ensure
successful operation of yard
  • Meet company goals for revenue generation,
profitability and budget standards, employee retention
and customer satisfaction
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the facility including
revenue and budget management, customer service and
staff management
  • Handle escalated issues as needed
  • Provide direction to team regarding duties and goals

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Proven experience in sales, with emphasis in both
operations and sales background or management within a
sales or service industry
  • Previous Budget and P&L responsibility
  • Track record of meeting company operational standards
and revenue goals
  • Strong leadership experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Great customer relations skills and experience
  • Proven leadership ad staff development experience and
skills
  • Possess a valid driver’s license
  • Excellent organization skills with strong attention to
detail and follow-up
  • Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office products,
databases)
  • Track record for meeting goals within established
timelines
Desired Skill and Abilities: ·
  • Previous rental car management a plus
  • Someone who will deliver superior customer service,
effective communication, influential and able to
interact professionally with all types of customers,
vendors and co-workers
  • Strong problem solving and excellent conflict
management skills
  • Someone who will be empowered to make business
decisions that greatly affect ones career as well as the
bottom line
  • Personal responsibility for developing new business
and maintaining current relationships
  • Someone responsible for understanding cost control,
understanding of P&L statements and understanding and
what it takes to run a profitable business
