The ideal candidate for this exciting position will possess the following traits and qualities: * Service-driven, people person with a passion to lead and inspire others * Enthusiastic, goal-oriented professional with a passion for achievement and success * Ability to train, develop, motivate, and supervise staff of up to 30 people * Prior management experience within hotel industry strongly preferred * Prior experience as a General Manager at an extended stay hotel is a plus! * Prior experience within the Clear Lake/NASA lodging submarket of Houston is a plus! * Experience within the Intercontinental Hotels Group family of hotels is a plus! As General Manager of this property, you will enjoy an opportunity to lead and run a highly upscale 3 year old extended stay hotel which is a market leader in a friendly, diverse, and vibrant community! As General Manager, you will oversee all major facets of the hotel's operation including: * Leading a top-notch hotel staff which has already established a brand-leading strong service focus to deliver a superior level of guest satisfaction (the property is one of the top ranked hotels in the Greater Houston area on tripadvisor.com) * Ensure that product quality standards are met in all areas of the hotel as it relates to the appearance, levels of maintenance and cleanliness; establish and maintain preventative maintenance programs to protect the physical assets of the hotel. * Revenue Maximization analysis: Working with the Director of Sales and Regional Manager to analyze, forecast, and enact an ongoing revenue plan which ensures the sales and marketing operation is being utilized to truly maximize overall property revenue * In conjunction with the Director of Sales and Sales Manager, developing and maintaining strong relationships with local corporate transient and extended stay accounts and the local Economic Development Partnership. * Budgeting, Cost Control and Investigation of variances from budgeted goals in the P&L statement * Establish performance goals for employees and provide regular feedback.
