Per Se Group has an immediate need for a General Sales Manager. This is a DIRECT HIRE position in the Western U.S.

Description

Responsible for all sales activities within the Western Region of the USand in assigned accounts or territories.Will deliver consistent bookings performance including projected gross profit expectations.

Specific scope of responsibility:
Customer interface
Establishing and maintaining relationships at corporate level
Negotiating contract terms of sale,
Making technical presentations to poential and existing customers
Understanding and conveying complex, technical issues to customers
Interfacing with Plant personnel to identify opportunities and resolve concerns.

Inside COMPANY, this person will
Coordinate activities with Engineering, Proposal Management and Project Management
Coordinate and/or negotiate final sales on project
Communicate with those who manage orders
Provide feedback on competitor information and lost orders

Other areas of responsibility include accountability for execution of regional/district sales plans, tracking orders on projects, preparing and maintaining territory and district business forecasts, developing and training staff members, overall responsibility for management and supervision of the region and its personnel, and other duties that support the sales function and the company.

Requirements
Expect qualified candidate to possess a Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering discipline
Extensive technical understanding of fossil power boiler products and services.
Selected candidate should have a minimum of 10 years of experience
Experience should be in such areas as: Field Service, Proposal Management, Performance Engineering, Project Engineering, and Project Management.

To ensure success in this position:
Candidate should possess exceptional technical skills and understanding
Appreciation for legal aspects of business
Superior negotiating and communication skills, both verbal and written
Must have excellent presentation skills, and solid computer skills.
Customer service skills are an absolute necessity in this position.

Travel Involved: 60-70%
