This is a Second Shift position. Hours are from 3:30 pm - Midnight (Monday - Friday)

The General Warehouse Associate is responsible for operating a forklift and other material handling equipment for the purpose of accurate shipping, processing and receiving, which includes but is not limited to unloading, scanning, moving, staging, loading, locating, relocating, and stacking product. The GWA is also responsible for repackaging product when necessary, counting and inspecting product, and notifying the appropriate person when product is damaged. The GWA is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the all equipment and will be expected to perform all GWA duties as directed by Management. All work performed by GWA must meet company standards of safety, security, and productivity.



Unload inbound shipments safely and move products to the correct destination. Efficiently stage and load the merchandise in the appropriate areas. All product movements and order activity will be processed in the WM System through Radio Frequency (RF) Bar Code Scanning. All product movements and order activity will be processed as defined by the work instruction.


Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage. All variances and damages must be documented.

Properly label and handle shipments, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped according to the paperwork. Perform loading duties in an efficient manner that meets customer service standards.


Efficiently move product from staging and/or unloading areas into the correct load door and the assigned trailer. Ensure that the trailer is secured and chocked prior to entering the trailer in accordance to the safety polices.


Must be certified by a UTi qualified trainer as a qualified operator. The GWA must have a UTi operator license on the equipment assigned prior to operating the equipment. The GWA must carry the Operator License on him / her at all times. Equipment certification can include but is not limited to a forklift, stand up, reach truck, sweeper scrubber, scissors lift and pallet jack. The GWA must be able to perform duties on power equipment using various types of material handling attachments. The GWA will maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion and on a daily basis, inspect and perform minor maintenance on the forklift or other equipment. The GWA must operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.

Safety, Sanitation, Security

Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse. Conduct operations in a manner which promotes safety. Comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards.


Perform or assist in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as required.

Other Duties

Perform all Forklift activities as required. Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as needed; repair pallets when necessary; maintain the facility to provide a clean, safe work environment.

Position Requirements

• Must be able to handle and lift tires (35 to 100lbs. each) from knee high to slightly overhead in an 8-10 hour shift handling 600-1200 tires

• Must be able to work at least 25 feet above floor level

• Must be able to complete work in a productive and safe manner
