The COMPANY's GeoSpatial Delivery team provides GIS, Spatial Data Management, Cartography and Survey and Positioning support to the entire North America Gas organization from exploration through to decommissioning.
The COMPANY is currently recruiting for the role of GeoSpatial Data Analysts for its Houston-based GeoSpatial Delivery Team. The role of GeoSpatial Data Analysts will be to provide embedded support to NAG asset teams.
The GeoSpatial Data Analysts roles work directly with the business providing GeoSpatial data and workflow support. The embedded resources provide GeoSpatial support in the business teams and work closely with the core GeoSpatial team to identify requirements, and define solutions and standards to meet these requirements.
Primary job duties of the role include:
Help implement, promote, and support a standardized approach to GIS and Spatial Data Management across the business functions
Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of GeoSpatial workflows across all of COMPANY operations.
Participate as an active member of the GeoSpatial Community of Practice in order to help deliver global GeoSpatial objectives and maintain connections with other COMPANY teams.
Organize, load and QC new data and information
Help coordinate and support the use and management of spatial data and technology across all technologist and geoscience staff in your asset team
To be considered for the role of NAG GeoSpatial Technical Lead, candidates must have the following qualifications:
Senior Analyst - Prior experience (5+ years) in delivering GeoSpatial data and project support across two or more E&P user environments.
Analyst - Prior experience (1+ years) in delivering GeoSpatial data and project support across one to two E&P user environments.
Knowledge of various internal and external data sources and how these apply to our business workflows:
IHS (Enerdeq / EDIN / PIDM), Wood Mackenzie, Fugro Tellus, BLM, USGS, FDA, RRC, DNR, SONRIS, DrillingInfo, CoreLogic, etc.
Working knowledge of ESRI technology platform, model builder, and other applicable GeoSpatial tools.
Working knowledge of other E&P technology including Finder, Openworks, OpenSpirit, Petra, Petrel, PPDM, GoCAD, Geographix, etc… and how they interact with GIS.
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Prior experience (5+ years) leading technical efforts in the delivery of GeoSpatial solutions, workflows and data across diverse user environments.
BS degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, Geoscience, Survey Engineering, or related field
Basic knowledge of fundamentals like geodesy, coordinate reference systems, and transformations for operations support and spatial data management
In addition to the required qualifications, the successful candidate would benefit from having :
MS degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, Geoscience, Survey Engineering, or related field
GISP and/or CMS certifications preferred
