• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Geology
• Minimum 2 years of experience in environmental field investigations and data collection, data review, and preparation of technical documents
• OSHA 1910 40 Hour Training Required
• Some overnight travel at locations primarily in Virginia is required
• Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test
Position responsibilities will include:
•Conducting environmental field investigations and sampling including low-flow groundwater sampling, installation of groundwater monitoring wells, direct push investigations, environmental sampling, and aquifer testing
•Supporting environmental remediation activities including emergency response support, oversight of remedial actions and installation of remediation systems
•Assisting with the operation and maintenance of environmental remediation systems including soil vapor extraction, multiphase extraction, groundwater pump and treat, and other technologies
•Supporting environmental site assessment activities including conducting Phase I, II, and III environmental site assessments (ESA) in accordance with ASTM standards and preparation of Phase I/II ESA Reports
•Following project work plans, health and safety plans, standard operating procedures, and appropriately documenting field activities
•Supporting office activities including compiling and reducing environmental field data, data analysis, and report writing
