Primary Objective:
· Under general supervision, provides support to the geological staff.
· Proficient in operating PC and geophysical workstations.
· Accumulates and analyzes data and prepares reports.
· Establishes and maintains highly confidential record files for reference use.
· Keeps information on current production, well tests, etc.
· Accumulates and analyzes data for reports.
· Makes log cross sections.
· Transfers and loads digital log and map data.
· Assists geologists in the preparation of various reports, plans and budgets.
Major Functions and Scope:
· Accumulates and analyzes data and prepares reports.
· Acquires and maps pertinent available data bases, including well data, culture, acreage, topography, remote sensing data, etc. Insure compatibility with geophysics software.
· Establishes and maintains highly confidential record files for reference use.
· Provides and manages all wide-format scanning needs and capabilities for the Company.
· Assists geologists in the preparation of various reports, plans and budgets.
· Maintains intra-Company communications to share data, procedures, efficiencies, and problem-solving.
· Performs other related duties and/or special projects as required.
Education and Knowledge: Associates degree or related technical training.
Experience: 3-8 years’ experience.
Competencies:
· Well-developed analytical and problem solving abilities.
· Ability to research information.
· Strong attention to detail; ability to perform duties with a high level of accuracy.
· Strong computer skills; spreadsheet software and database management capabilities; GIS environment. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out complex instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
